Hello Everybody,
I'm working on a Li-ion Think City A306 which does not charge anymore. The "connected_to_charger-indicator" lights up, the Charging-indicator does not.

12Volt battery is fine, State of Charge shows 20% on dashboard and in CHAS/Commtool software.

I have done some investigating using Commtool and CHAS and found out the Pack voltage is showing close to zero (0,8V), while both string voltages seem fine. This occurs usually when no charger is connected and ignition is switched of. But while charging this should read a higher Voltage.

Also when connecting the charger, I am missing the last (two?) relay clicks it is usually generating.

I don't see any error in the Commtool or CHAS.

My guess would be a relay in the battery pack is not working?
Does anyone know if this can be true?
Or could there be an other reason a relay not closing without showing an error message in CHAS or commtool?

you could try SavvyCAN, it might give a better answer of why or what is happening with the relays.

You might find an updated dbc-file for interpretation of the CAN messages here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mik45gb77g47ufm/ThinkCity_modified6.dbc?dl=0
(it's a "work in process" and not completed, but it's a bit more info than the one included with savvyCAN)

Let us know if you need help getting it up and running and/or analyzing what the messages might mean.

Also, even tho written in Norwegian an deeper understanding of problems like this could be gained form the two recent cases of the "red car" and the "yellow car" threads in this forum (google translate should work good enough)

Good luck, and happy fault-hunting, hopefully it might be an easy fix.
