I guess you have a house with an IT grid?
In which case you have a trafo (what you call stor boks) between your fuse box and the Podpoint charger?
The trafo (which is used to create a TN grid) is only necessary if you want to charge a Zoé. So unless the new owner of the house has a Zoé, or wants TN instead of IT to charge the car, you can easily un-mount it and sell it on Finn.no for several thousands of NOK :)

The Podpoint is a 16A/3.6kW charger. This is why the fuse is a 20A one.
But since the main fuse is a 36A one, you could in theory have a charge which allows up to 32A, i.e double the speed.

I am not very up to date on the current offerings for chargers today, but you can at least have a look at what is available up to 32A/7kW.
You have plain dumb ones, you have those where you can select the charging speed, or even program or connect to things like Tiber... Sky's the limit :)

P.S: If you decide to keep the trafo, then 16A is still your limit for the charge.

Takk for god forklaring. :)

Yes you can do that.
Just make sure the fuse before the trafo is off, open the trafo box, look at the incoming and outgoing wires.
Then just disconnect them from both incoming and outgoing side inside the trafo, and connect them together (neutral to neutral, blue to blue, brown to brown) in a proper and safe way and voila :)

This is what I did when I changed my last Zoe to a Mégane and it works great.
Actually, it is even better than that because you then do not have the loss you get in the trafo when it transforms IT to TN :)

P.S: If you are not sure you can do this alone, ask a friend who can, or an electrician. It is a 10 min job if you have the equipment/parts.

Even if it's only a 10 minute job, in Norway it is illegal to do this yourself, unless you are an certified electrician yourself, or in other way ar trained and qualified to "mess" with electric wires.

For instance, my older brother was an technician (montør) at Televerket (and later within the different company names the split from Telenor led to), so at the time he was building his own house, he was actually allowed to do the job himself, to install cables and sockets in the house.

He just needed a "plan" (electric wiring diagram of the system) from the firm that planned and searched for approval for the electricals. And an electrician to approve the job and connect the electrics to strømskap and external power intake. Of course, the power "switch on" had to be done by electrician from the company that owns the power grid I guess.

As far as I understand, he still used proper electricians for most of the work.

Sorry @RJK, you are of course totally right.
I personally did it with my brother in law who is an electrician.
I should have been clearer on this part.
This is "high" power appliances so better do it properly.

But my point remains. It is easily done and only has advantages (as long as you are sure you will never need to charge a Zoe again...).

No probs. I do totally agree that it has almost only positive effects, with the only minor downside if you need to charge a Zoe without "ladebøtte" and type2 connection!  8)
