How to easily see percentage of battery/charge left?

Hi,

While driving, the dashboard shows the battery icon on the left side with the estimated range at that given time (which varies according to the real time consumption of the last minutes/kilometers).
This icon also show how much of the battery is left but it is not very precise.
I would much rather have the exact percentage easily available at all times.
The only way I know how to get this percentage is when I unlock the car and open the door! Then the dashboard powers up, the rotating Zoe icon appears and then I get to see the percentage of remaining battery for a little while.

Does anyone know how to get this value while driving, or even better, how to have it displayed permanently?

Not possible unless you have a phone with CanZE-app and a bluetooth-dongle for car communication. Given that each part of the battery display is 12.5%, you get close enough with a simple calculation. Renaults remaining battery display is anyway not very accurate. Many of us rely more on the kWh used counter than the estimate.

The closest you will get to see the remaining kWh is to use the kWh used since you last reset tribmeter B and just do a simple subtraction.

1) Buy a Konnwei KW 902 from eBay (approx. NOK 100). Do NOT buy another type of OBD-adapter even if they are smaller and cheaper...
2) Plug the KW 902 in your Zoe. The plug is under the rubber inlay in the compartment in front of the gear lever.
3) Install CanZE*

* If you are on iPhone, add these steps:
2.1) Throw away iPhone
2.2) Buy decent phone (Android)

I've got CanZE working just fine with the OBD-2 adapter linked from Kjell & Co.

Interesting. I had an adapter that looked just like this, that did not work, so I bought a Konnwei. It kind of ruins the compartment for other usage, so I don't keep it plugged in all the time.

Many of the cheaper OBD-2 adapters does not fully support the protocols they advertise..

Interesting. I had an adapter that looked just like this, that did not work, so I bought a Konnwei. It kind of ruins the compartment for other usage, so I don't keep it plugged in all the time.

What problems did you have?
You could not pair it or you could not read data from it?

Incompatible with Zoe, probably due to what ladov refers to. Pairing works fine, I have used it with a Subaru and the Torque app.
