What is the black rubber looking material that is used for attaching the locking mechanism to the glass trunk cover?
Or how to attach this part of the lock to the glass?

Without having checked exactly what it looks like, glass is generally imbedded in a PUR plastic around the edges to form some kind of profile. Even though this perticular glass is not glued to the body I guess they would have used the same technique since it is general practice in the auto industry.
Biltema used to have a glue specifically made for glueing metal objects, such is inside mirrors etc, to glass.
Can you post a picture to show what is wrong ? (I assume something is wrong, hence the question ?)

So what you want to glue is plastic against plastic. One of them being PUR.
Have a look at this site http://www.loctite-consumer.se/en/gluefinder.html
Probably the plastic part in your hand has a plastic type marking so check it out and call Loctite, they are always helpfull, and ask for advice.

Good Luck !

So what you want to glue is plastic against plastic. One of them being PUR.
Or if you mean bonding the plastic part to the glass, that plastic part is moulded in ABS. Most moulded plastic parts have the plastic type written like >ABS< inside for recycling purposes.
Your best chance would be to take it to a car glass shop and have them bond it. If you want to try yourself I would try a Polyurethane (PU) adhesive. Of cause remove all old adhesive and clean glass and plastic part completely before rebonding. I would fill the recesses in the plastic part completely with the adhesive to achieve the largest possible bonding area.
