Hi guys.

Would you experts please check your records to find a file entitled "EV Charger update procedure for Think.doc".

I am very close to being able to update Eltek-Valere firmware images.
I have (1) IXXAT CAN=USB adapter (borrowing it), (2) IXXAT DVI driver, (3) FWUpdate executable, (4) Secondary firmware image that Eltek/THINK developed to address Level 1 charging issues with low SOC%.  When I run FWUpdate, it loads the Secondary FW image, attempts to communicate with charger to load the new image, but then a popup window happens indicating no response from charger.

And so I hope that I am doing something wrong and that by getting ahold of that document above, there might be something I could do that makes this work.  I've tried everything I can think of except:
1) See if the IXXAT driver can be defaulted to 500kb bus config
2) See if direct private CAN bus connection to an external charger might work

Tusen takk!

I thought this was embedded in the PPT that I sent you, but apparently it is not.

Looks like you need to have >50V mains power to the charger to enable firmware upgrade mode?

Thanks Herman.
This gives more hope.
1) The power cycle part of the procedure probably wasn't done right when I tried running the App
2) It may be that the adapter driver doesn't default to CAN0 (though that's doubtful)
Will give it a try today probably.

Myles. I am just curious about your project updating the charger firmware. Do you know what would be the benefits of doing that? Could this be of interest for all of us still driving our Thinks?
