Unfortunately, the grid does not care when the electricity is cheap, it cares only how much power it has to transport and if it is able to do so. If not, it needs to be upgraded, which costs money.
Hence trying to get people to avoid huge consumption tops all at the same time.

I am not trying to defend this new pricing model, but it is a consequence of the goal they are trying to achieve.

And if we are talking about 200,- a month extra because your highest hourly consumption goes from 10 to 15 kWh, it is not the end of the world. Especially if you get cheaper prices at night. And especially if we get a better grid in the long run :)

The extra cost (or not) will all depend on the new price model.
If they follow what is in this article (https://www.tu.no/artikler/slik-blir-den-nye-nettleia-pris-grenser-pa-5-og-10-kw/514897), and with my current consumption pattern (house, heat pump, electric car), a typical winter month with around 3000 kWh will see my "nettleie" part go to around 58 øre per kWh instead of currently 44 ø + 110,- fixed price.
If I use more if it gets colder (so the base load will get a bit higher but not the tops), it will cost me less per kWh.

So not the end of the world really... And that is with me ending up in the "10-15 kW max a month" bracket.

I agree with you, it makes no sense.
The only explanation I can think of is that the part on the car is made to store the results on the Renault servers and without Interactive, it can't.
But this is bad since your are basically forced to have Interactive, which might not be free after a while!

En jeg kjenner som jobber med Renault fraråder sine venner å kjøpe Zoe, og det sier jo en del.

Why does he say that?
There is quite a big difference if it is because the people running Renault Norge are idiots compared to if the car is not good quality-wise.
If he says that because of the problem with charging on IT grid, then this is an open secret :)

The ZOE can not control how much kW it takes in. It takes as much as it gets, up to 22 kW AC! :)

It can control when it charges though...
You can delay the start of the charge, by setting the car to start charging at , e.g 23:00. Then it charges till full or till you stop the charge (manually or via the app).
You can also set the charging periods via the calendar, e.g from 00:00 till 05:00 on Monday, from 01:00 till 05:30 on Tuesday, etc...

This is standard date format in IT so YYYY-MM-DD is what he most likely meant, so Tuesday next week.
At least this is my understanding :)
I do not think YYYY-DD-MM is ever used.
DD.MM.YY is confusing because of Americans misusing it. Or actually using MM.DD.YY.
