Final remedy:-
This campaign (H536) is being launched in conjunction with H514. TheH536 campaign is an administrative step to enable lear records andreporting of any
vehicles that have been repurchased from customers aspart of the H514 campaign previously published.
A concern with the capability of the diagnostic software introducedthrough safety recalls H441, H459 or H471 has been determined as postsoftware update 2019
model year vehicle fires have been reported. Thesevehicles experienced thermal overload which showed as smoke or fire fromthe underside of the vehicle
where the High Voltage (HV) battery islocated.
The investigation is ongoing. Modules that were identified by the remedysoftware as having characteristics of a folded anode tab, which maycontribute to a risk
of thermal overload, are still being inspected bythe supplier.
Owners who have previously had their vehicle updated with the improveddiagnostic software are under the impression that their vehicle isprotected from thermal
overload which, for 2019 model year vehicles maynot be the case.
Safety Risk Description
A vehicle thermal overload condition such as fire or smoke can result inincreased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside thevehicle, as well as
property damage.
Repair Description
As a final remedy, JLR will reacquire vehicles from affected customers.
