I have been thinking of replacing the Zebra battery in a Think with Nissan Leaf battery.
I have documented my thoughts on the subject here:
https://www.evmonitor.info/2018/07/think-a306-battery-box.html

What do you think?

I would need something that will hold the CHAdeMO inlet in the Think. Anyone with skill and time on their hands that would like to design one?
Ideally it would be something made of standard brackets - mounting brackets for building construction.
I can also accept a laser cut and couple of bends...
There will be no financial compensation - your name would be on the holder though.
It needs to attach on existing points under the hood, and be strong enough to withstand pushing force of a human when inserting the CHAdeMO cable plug.
Anyone?

Here is a possible placement:

"Nye" TH!NK City produsert fra 2008 - 2012 / Simulating BMI
mandag 31. oktober 2016, klokken 15:43
Hi there,
I have been getting some e-mail about simulating BMI with the Duinomite Mega - the same hardware used on the Nicometer. Hope we can all chip in this thread and get to a point where one can easily change battery in the Think...
So keep posting about it here and I will help with what I can.

"Nye" TH!NK City produsert fra 2008 - 2012 / Quickcharging
mandag 26. oktober 2015, klokken 10:03
So here is the idea...
The idea is similar to the quick charging for the Clio.
To use a current-relay that senses the AC current that is used in the built-in charger and then if that current is higher than 5A, we start and run additional 3kW or 6kW chargers that have their DC output connected via the PCU connector for the air conditioning.

The car can be modified to a Type 2 inlet, and electrically retain all the cables, but the extra 2 phases can be connected to 2 3kW chargers.

6kW @360V is 17A, and the Air conditioning fuse is 20A.

Any reasons why the above should not work?

I looking to buy a rear glass (trunk cover) for the Think City 2009.
Anyone has one for sale?

A friend of mine and I did a winter driving test to see which car would take us longer the Think City or the Nissan Leaf.
See the image for the results.

"Nye" TH!NK City produsert fra 2008 - 2012 / Change of cabin filter

I decided I wanted to change the cabin filter... and here are some photos and info:

Maybe someone proficient in Norwegian would like to update the wiki.

I have a connector for heater that I have no use for.
It is perfect if you want to disconnect your heater or AC for good while still being able to drive the car.

The "control bridge" in the connector convinces the PCU that there is nothing wrong so the car can be used.

Asking 250kr (or highest offer) + shipping from Sweden.

PM me if you are interested.

I am attaching couple of photos.

"Nye" TH!NK City produsert fra 2008 - 2012 / Seatbelt adjustment

A Think with a driver belt that had difficult time getting back in the B-column, and it was rather hard to pull.
I opened the B-column to check it out but did not find any obstacles... and after some comparison I discovered that the upper holder of the belt (see photo) was not moving at all, while the same holder for the passenger was moving freely to accommodate  the different angle of "fold" depending on where was the belt pulled from.
So I unscrewed the holder just slightly to allow for some rotation and the belt was as new again!
Now to the question - according to the manual that screw needs to be screwed with 40 Nm torque... but there were no details on the assembly - is there a missing piece?
Is it supposed to be non-rotating?

I did some work on the heating system of one Think City and I noticed that the coolant used had a greenish, brownish color.
I know from other Think City cars that the coolant should be blue...
So is there a way to test if the coolant is actually of the green type or it is a blue coolant with lots of rust in it?

What is the difference between the green and the blue one? I know they should not be mixed, but what if they were mixed?

Should I evacuate the cooling system and refill with new blue coolant?

I am selling heated windshields for Think A306 (the 2008 to 2011).
I only have 6 left and these are the last ones - after that there are no more.

Message me if you need a replacement for your heated windshield and I can send it to the window replacement shop of your choice.

I have this new (to me at least) design of a charging cable that came with 2014 Peugeot Ion.
How do I switch from 8A to 14A charging current?
Apart from the manual stop button there are no other visible buttons.

What is the black rubber looking material that is used for attaching the locking mechanism to the glass trunk cover?
Or how to attach this part of the lock to the glass?

I may need to change the wishbones or also known as Control arms on my Think.

So as far as I can read these are the partnumbers of the wishbones from the original Think parts catalog:
530.1031.B Control arm LH
530.1032.B Control arm RH

Do you know what the part numbers of the wishbones are if bought from MECA/biltema/autoexpressen, etc?

Also do you know how to get to the 2 screws attaching the wishbone to the frame?

Is it hard to change yourself?

Would you recommend wheel alignment after?

Do I need to change anything else while there, for example the attachment nuts? If yes, part numbers for them?

Any advice, especially from own experience with Think A306 is appreciated.

I have noticed that when I plug the car for zebra battery warm up sometimes the dash lights (the one showing what position the gear shifter is in) are on, while sometimes they are not.
The lamp for the battery is blinking as it should while warming up, but the dash lights seem to change without any visible or not visible reason.
Any idea what is going on?

What is the best or easiest way to remove one of the 3 buttons below the heating controls?
The buttons there are "assistance", "windscreen heater", "hazard".
On the old think one could access the space behind after removing the stereo - what is the best way to remove them on the new Think?
