Hei

First of all, I'm sorry to address you all in english but my Norwegian is not that good - I hope you can understand and help me.

I have a Buddy Cityjet6 and we have make some "refurbishment". We've changed the Lead batteries with 24, 3,4v Lithium batteries.
At the same time we add a Battery Management System from Elektromotus.
In order to maintain the the original car-controller (for the speed information, trip, etc) we've "emulate" the presence of the old batteries by tricking the car-controller to see the voltages on the JP2 connector.

The issue I'm having right now is that when I drive the car I often have temporary "blackouts" on the display panel and within 1-2 second it restores.
At the same time, I have the continuous "1 H" alarm error on the display which is the alarm when the batteries were almost dead...on the previous system.

That gives me the idea that the car controller is not "seeing" batteries although the measures on the JP2 connector indicates the proper voltage...

Any help would be appreciate.

Tusen takk
Nuno

My guess is that you need to simulate 12V from each cell into the Car-controller, otherwise it believes that one (or more) of the cell has too low voltage and needs charging. I have at least observed the same "1H" indication with 2 of the 6 cell pairs defect.

Hello Nuno,

Your car controller doesn't "see" that your batteries is being charged and updating the capacity. I'm not sure how you charge your Li-ion's but you have two gray cables where the old Zivan charger used to be. These should be connected for you to be able to drive, but open when charging happens.
Also your new charger should be connected to the old REMA charge plug so the charge current passes the measure shunt.

BTW, old car of Manuel?
